Novo Fitness Studio is the product of a dream, intense training, and passion.
Located in Columbus, GA (Midland), Novo is a 100% LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED studio and intimate fitness boutique that strives to provide a UNIQUE AND PERSONAL fitness experience for people of every fitness level.
It’s diverse offerings provide a workout opportunity that is unparalleled in other fitness settings. Novo first opened its doors in February 2014, and has grown exponentially since its opening, now offering 70+ CLASSES PER WEEK in a newly expanded facility featuring three studio rooms!
Specializing in form-focused, mind-body methods, Novo was founded as the first barre method of any kind in Columbus. Since opening, Novo has grown to offer numerous additional methods, including Rebounding, Buti Yoga, Dance Fitness, and Yoga. Our methods are licensed and certified, which guarantees their effectiveness and allows clients to progress and grow within the variety of classes offered.

For years, I avoided joining Novo because the idea of an all-women’s gym honestly intimidated me. I thought I’d feel judged, but it’s been the complete opposite. I’ve never felt anything but encouraged, and I always leave feeling better than when I walked in.
After having three babies back-to-back, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s. I also struggled with postpartum anxiety, and I’m pretty sure postpartum depression too. I wouldn’t wish that season on anyone. It’s exhausting, physically and mentally, and losing the weight afterward has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I tried another gym before this, but I kept gaining weight and never felt like myself.
Since starting Novo, I finally feel stronger. I have more energy, my mindset has shifted, and I’m starting to notice the inches coming off. I know I may never get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, and honestly, that’s okay. Feeling healthy again is a much bigger win. As someone who has struggled with body dysmorphia for most of my life, that shift in perspective means everything.
But one of the biggest reasons I’m thankful for Novo isn’t the workouts, it’s the women I’ve met.
This spring, I was interviewing for what I thought was my dream job. The day of my final interview, I miscarried. I was devastated and disappeared from class for a while. Instead of making me feel guilty for not showing up, the women there simply checked in, reminded me they were thinking of me, and let me know they’d be there whenever I was ready to come back.
That kind of kindness is rare.
Novo has become so much more than a gym for me. It’s a place where I’ve found encouragement, healing, and some pretty incredible cheerleaders. And for that, I’ll always be grateful. ❤️”

Happy Birthday to our sweet Sarah Beth! 🥳
From the moment she took her very first class with Ellen, she was hooked on Novo—and we’re so thankful she never looked back. Since then, she’s become such a special part of our team, always taking the time to get to know our clients and helping them however she can.
When she’s not at the studio, you’ll likely find her loving on her black lab, Nelli Ann, spending time with family and friends, babysitting, or enjoying an iced coffee (probably after a little shopping 😉). She’s the youngest of four siblings, can’t help but sing along to Ella Langley or Megan Moroney, and if she’s stopping by the boutique, there’s a good chance she’s leaving with something from Beyond Yoga.
Whether she’s leading Barre, Strength, Power, Buti, Tone36, Elevate, or one of the many other classes she’s certified to teach, Sarah Beth brings so much positivity, encouragement, and heart to every class.
